Dakos - cretan word for barley rusk.
Most simple and representative specialty of famous Cretan diet.
Materials:
10 pcs barley rusks
2 mature tomatoes
80g soft cheese
2 spoons vinegar
60mi extra virgin olive oil
1 glove garlic
1 teaspoon salt
oregano
Preparation:
- Grate the tomatoes and mix them in a bowl together with vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, fine chopped garlic and salt.
- Put the rusks on a plate and top them with the mixture.
- Add the soft cheese and olives
- Spring with oregano, pour olive oil and decorate with some fresh leaves of oregano
